Meeting and Training Venue

The hall is a popular and comfortable venue for both these activities. It is possible to be flexible with lay-outs and use of furniture. The kitchen can also be a second meeting room as well as a convivial place for refreshments. A projector and screens are available for use. There is plenty of parking.

Facilities for meetings and for training courses with parking, two heated rooms, toilets, kitchen and areas to work outdoors. Popular for meetings and courses with up to 20 participants. Free parking at the Hall. A mile from Lakeside at the foot of Lake Windermere, this is an amazing place to run a course. The Hall is ideal for meetings and training days.

  • We provide ample parking, heating, modern seating and a screen available for slides or power point. The building is wheel chair accessible from the car park side.
  • The main room can accommodate up to 50 people in lecture style seating and up to 40 at tables.
  • The smaller room can seat about 10-12 around a meeting table.
  • There are plenty of tables and padded chairs and a screen for slides or power point.
  • There is background heating via storage heaters which have the option for convector heater boost (this is metered).
  • The second room has a fitted kitchen with 2 kettles, 10 litre water boiler, large oven, 6 ring ceramic hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, hand washing sink etc. 
  • There is a good selection of cups, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
  • There are three toilets, one of which has wheel chair access
  • .The building closed as a village school in the 1970s, and has since been steadily modernised and cared for by the village.
  • Other facilities include space for a barbecue and a small grassed garden for relaxing. 
  • Please note that the village is a very quiet place, and we ask that groups do not make excessive noise outside, especially after 8:00pm.
